Defining the Coach-Client RelationshipThe main objective of a personal coach is to help clients improve upon their performance and reach goals set out from the beginning of the coaching relationship. The coach will work together with you to explore new possibilities and examine all options on the way to reaching your goals. A working relationship can be evaluated from the point of view of what was learned, how it was learned and how the knowledge acquired produced results leading to meeting your goals. The coach is to stay objective throughout the entire process. He/she will make a skills inventory, talent search, decision-making evaluation of each of his/her clients. This activity will help the client unlock their full potential and become the best they can be within the confines of what is considered reasonable by both the coach and the client. Whether the coaching is done in person or by telephone, there is a connection between the client and the coach that is positive and will be appreciated by both parties. A real team effort.
